While we wait for the 2018 #PanAmericanSong contest to kick off. It is time to discover music from the participating countries of the last edition. Today, we take a look at the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
Antigua and Barbuda is a sovereign state, lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of over 80,000 people. Its music is heavily influenced by African rhythms. The most popular genres in the island include soca, calypso, steeldrum, and reggae. In June 2018, Antigua and Barbuda will begin to host the Romantic Rhythms Music Festival.
